Patient manifesto(s)

When I started, Talkiatry lacked a rallying cry.

We understood the industry. We understood how to navigate insurance. But we weren’t great at helping patients locate themselves within our messaging. Shortly after becoming creative director, I drafted a statement of purpose to provide a foundation for our messaging.

We needed a new messaging platform. I created three for testing purposes. We’re still waiting on a winner.

Care without compromise

You shouldn’t have to choose between waiting months or settling for someone who doesn’t take your insurance. Between a rushed visit or no visit at all. Between an app that won’t actually help and and a doctor you can’t reach.

You deserve better. You deserve a real doctor. Care that’s personal, not transactional. A real relationship, not a one-size-fits-all plan.

Care shouldn’t demand trade-offs. It should meet you where you are: Accessible, timely, and built around you. Nothing more than you need. Nothing less.

With Talkiatry, care doesn’t come with trade-offs. We connect you quickly, online, to exceptional psychiatrists who accept your insurance and see you as more than a number.

Real care doesn’t cut corners. And with Talkiatry, you’ll never have to compromise.

Psychiatry, reimagined

It’s 2025. You can order dinner in minutes, stream any movie, talk to anyone across the globe. So why is finding a psychiatrist still so hard?

Why does it feel like insurance closes more doors than it opens? Why should months go by before you can talk to a doctor? Why can’t you access world-class care from wherever you are?

It doesn’t make sense. And it doesn’t have to be this way.

You deserve real care, not a maze of waitlists, answering machines, and dead ends. You deserve a doctor, not an app. Experienced psychiatrists who listen, who get to know you, who help you move forward.

In a modern world, care should be better. Streamlined. Accessible. Human. Care should fit into your life, giving you exactly what you need, when you need it.

It’s time to bring psychiatry up to speed. To put access, expertise, and humanity in the same place.

Because care shouldn’t be complicated. It should be clear, direct, and within reach.

It’s not radical

Seeking care should make your life better, not harder. Insurance should open doors, not close them. Finding a psychiatrist should take days, not months.

And when you finally sit down with your doctor, you should have the time to talk — and be heard.

You’re not an appointment. You’re a person. You deserve a doctor, not an app. Because healing begins with a real relationship, not a transaction.

Care should be as individual as you are. No more, no less — exactly what you need.

It’s time to change the conversation. To change the system. To expand access, restore dignity, and prove that real care still matters.

Mental health care should make sense. At Talkiatry, it does.
